BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring announced that applications are open for trade show participation grants. The grant program will assist North Dakota value-added agriculture companies in exploring domestic wholesale markets by exhibiting at trade shows outside of the state.

BISMARCK, N.D. – This week, adult emerald ash borers (EAB) were collected from a trap placed in LaMoure County, nine miles north of Edgeley, North Dakota. Upon follow-up from North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) staff, additional larvae were collected and have been officially confirmed as EAB. The detection is the first in North Dakota, and it becomes the 37th state to detect EAB.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Retailers are encouraged to do their due diligence on current inventory and before ordering hemp-derived products to sell at their businesses. Hemp-derived cannabinoid products such as cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabigerol (CBG) that meet the intent of the law will continue to be allowed until there is further action by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA); however, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products that induce psychotropic effects are not allowed in the state.

BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring announced the planned release of four more webisodes in their original series, Fresh from North Dakota, featuring North Dakota specialty crops. A webisode has been released today with an additional webisode coming each Wednesday through Aug. 28, 2024.
