Certificate of origin-grain

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has phytosanitary requirements for the importation of wheat, triticale, rye, and barley grain. These grains may be imported into Canada under a special pilot program for North Dakota origin grain. Under this program the Canadian importer must apply for an import permit from CFIA. Once the importer provides an import permit, the North Dakota exporter may apply to the North Dakota Department of Agriculture to be enrolled in a compliance agreement program whereby the NDDA will provide certificates of origin which can be used in place of a phytosanitary certificate.

Certificate of origin-seed

European corn borer compliance certificate of inspection

European corn borer Certificates of Inspection are required by the receiving state or country for shipments of shelled corn shipped to Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington and also to British Columbia, Canada. Certificates of Inspection are issued by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture only to elevators that have entered into a Compliance Agreement. This agreement provides assurance that the shipper has complied with certain requirements to prevent the movement of European corn borer to these areas.

Phytosanitary Export Database (PExD)

Exporter is required to provide the third-country requirements to the ACO for a phyto. This can be an official letter or document from the NPPO of that country, an import permit, or information from an official website.
