SunButter® Teacher Kits Grades 3-5
The North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) received federal funding through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program to provide schools with a STEM learning opportunity. This grant will enable NDDA to provide SunButter® kits to 50 teachers interested in incorporating this into their curriculum. Students will learn about sunflowers, honey and how North Dakota is the No. 1 producer in the nation for both commodities. They will also make homemade sunflower seed butter and taste commercially-available SunButter®.
Teachers interested in receiving a SunButter® kit can fill out the application below. The application must be received in electronic form by Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. Selected teachers will then be notified via email shortly thereafter if their application was successful. SunButter® kits are on a first come, first serve basis as a limited number of kits are available.
