BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture has scheduled the 2020 Pride of Dakota Harvest and Holiday Showcase season dates.
Pride of Dakota Harvest Showcases are scheduled for Sept. 11-12, in the West River Ice Center, Dickinson and Oct. 9-10, in the Jamestown Civic Center, Jamestown. Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases are scheduled for Nov. 6-8, in the Alerus Center, Grand Forks and Dec. 4-6, in the Bismarck Event Center, Bismarck. Unfortunately, the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases planned for Minot and Fargo have been canceled this year.
“After careful consideration and consultation with the guidelines for holding larger events, the logistics of applying the guidelines in the Minot and Fargo facilities would drastically limit the number of shoppers that could participate,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “We are disappointed that we will be unable to hold those two shows but look forward to a full slate of activities and events next year for all of our showcases.”
“I ask everyone to practice personal responsibility when coming out to the shows and be aware of other’s personal space. We encourage you to wear a mask and stay home if you are not feeling well,” Goehring said.
Administered by the Marketing and Information Division of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day and the Holiday Showcases, Harvest Showcase and Spring Showcase. The program also provides educational opportunities and representation at regional, national and international marketing expositions. More than 500 North Dakota companies are Pride of Dakota members.
