A certificate of veterinary inspection is required for all dogs, cats and ferrets entering the state for longer than 30 days. The North Dakota State Board of Animal Health does not accept USDA APHIS Form 7001 for interstate movement of animals.
Rabies – Dogs, cats and ferrets over 3 months of age entering the state for any length of time shall have been vaccinated against rabies, in accordance with the specifications of the vaccine used. A copy of the current rabies vaccination certificate must accompany the animal.
No dogs, cats or ferrets less than 3 months old accepted from areas quarantined for rabies.
