BISMARCK – The 36th annual Pride of Dakota Day is slated for Monday, July 22, at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot.
“Enjoy lunch, learn about the Pride of Dakota program and receive a $10 coupon toward a Pride of Dakota purchase at the State Fair,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “It’s a great time and place for fairgoers to meet, shop and share lunch.”
A $1 Pride of Dakota lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., under the large tent near the southwest corner of the fairgrounds.
“For just one dollar, you’ll get a grilled hot dog, potato chips, a cookie and milk,” Goehring said.
The first 500 lunch attendees will receive a $10 coupon toward a Pride of Dakota purchase at the State Fair, which must be used that day. Eighteen Pride of Dakota vendors will be at the fair in various buildings. A list of vendors and their locations may be found at www.prideofdakota.nd.gov.
KMOT-TV is an event partner for Pride of Dakota Day at the State Fair. The lunch is sponsored by Cloverdale Foods, Northland Potatoes, Prairie Farms and Pan-O-Gold Baking Co. Lunch proceeds go to the North Dakota FFA Foundation.
Administered by the Business, Marketing and Information Division of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day, and the Pride of Dakota and Holiday Showcases. The program also provides educational opportunities and representation at regional, national and international marketing expositions. More than 500 North Dakota companies are Pride of Dakota members.
