BISMARCK – The Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase is coming to the Jamestown this weekend. The Jamestown Civic Center will be filled with booths and shoppers this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16.

“We are grateful that the Jamestown Civic Center was available this weekend after October’s snowstorm required us to reschedule the event,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “This is the time and place to stock up on your favorite Pride of Dakota products, with more than 60 Pride of Dakota businesses on hand to showcase a tremendous variety of North Dakota-made foods and condiments, artwork, household items, jewelry, apparel and much more.”

The showcase is open from 4 - 9 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission and reusable shopping bags are free and sponsored by the Bank of North Dakota College SAVE Plan. Parking is also free for Pride of Dakota shoppers.

“We are pleased to offer convenient Friday evening shopping in Jamestown this year, as well as a full day on Saturday,” Goehring said.

Additional Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases are scheduled for Nov. 22-24 in the Scheels Arena, Fargo; and Dec. 6-8, in the Bismarck Event Center.

Administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day and the Harvest and Holiday Showcases. The program also provides educational opportunities and representation at regional, national and international marketing expositions. More than 500 North Dakota companies are Pride of Dakota members.
