BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) will be hosting a meeting on growing, harvesting and processing cannabidiol (CBD) hemp on Friday, July 19, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ramada Hotel Bismarck, 1400 East Interchange Avenue, Bismarck.

“This is an opportunity for North Dakota farmers to learn about CBD hemp production,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “The meeting will cover state law, hemp pests and diseases, and processing. Two current hemp producers will also share their insights.”

The meeting will not cover the use or retail side of CBD.

Goehring said those interested in attending should RSVP to John Mortenson, hemp program coordinator, at 701-328-4128 or jmortenson@nd.gov.
