Communications Specialist

Communications - Statewide, ND - Communications Specialist Create and facilitate internal communication products and delivery channels to support Health and Human Services collaboration with local Human Service Zones across North Dakota. As a zone communications specialist, you will work closely with the director of zone operations and HHS team members that work regularly with human service zone teams. You'll ensure that essential communications about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), heating assistance, Medicaid, including children's health services; 1915i home and community-based services; basic care assistance; childcare assistance; child welfare (foster care, child protection services); and other resources and programs are distributed accurately and effectively to local zones.As a Communications Specialist you will be responsible for creating a streamlined approach to facilitating communications between HHS and the zones. This will include finding effective ways to deliver program updates and resources that are well-received by the zones. To be successful in this position, you must have strong organizational skills and the ability to write clear and concise messages. You must also have the ability to work across several communication platforms and delivery tools. The content you create will be used in newsletters, emails, graphic materials, the intranet, and the HHS website.To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree focused on communications or marketing AND 1-3 years of professional experience in communications.
