The Agriculture in the Classroom council consists of seven individuals including six appointed council members and the superintendent of public instruction or the superintendent’s designee.
The mission of Agriculture in the Classroom is to develop and conduct programs for K-12 agriculture education, and the training of teachers and students in agricultural curriculum activities.
Funding for Agriculture in the Classroom is included in the Agriculture Commissioner’s budget. It includes approximately $100,000 per biennium to develop and conduct programs for K-12 agriculture education.
