BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring received word yesterday from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that they have issued a cease-and-desist order against Agridime LLC, a livestock dealer based out of Fort Worth, Texas, that was doing business in North Dakota.
“Agridime was licensed in North Dakota,” Goehring said. “Their renewal was pending based on issues with bonding. The actions taken by the SEC will support our denial of their license and we will issue a cease-and-desist order, effective today, to prevent further purchase of livestock.”
Livestock licenses need to be renewed by July 1 of every year in North Dakota.
