BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has announced that grant applications are now being accepted for North Dakota companies interested in exporting their food products into Taiwan. A trade mission to Taipei, Taiwan is planned for the week of April 27, 2025.
“The purpose of the mission to Taiwan is to develop and foster relationships between North Dakota companies and Taiwanese companies, and to expand North Dakota exports into Taiwan,” Goehring said. “Taiwan is the seventh largest trading partner for U.S. agricultural goods, has a growing economy and relies on imports of various food products that are not locally produced.”
“Top product prospects for export to Taiwan include beef and poultry, dairy products, tree nuts, edible oils and fats, plant protein, fresh fruit and vegetables, pet food, ready-to-eat foods, and health and specialty foods,” Goehring added.
